Apple Inc is sure to offer something exciting to their users this year. Below is a glimpse of what we know so far.
iPad Pro 2
When iPad Pro was released in 2015, it was the biggest tablet ever released by Apple, and was enthusiastically received by the users. Rumors from various sources indicate that there can be a March launch of iPad Pro 2, and this release would coincide with the software releases from Apple. However, there are suggestions that the chip manufacturer of iPad Pro 2 is experiencing lower than expected yields, so the release of the device might slip into the summer months.
The officials from Apple have not said anything about the price of iPad Pro 2, but experts expect a similar pricing structure as that of iPad Pro. Besides, it is expected that Apple will eliminate the headphone jack from the iPad Pro 2 devices and many of the leaked images also suggest so.
Apple is likely to offer a True Tone display with the iPad Pro 2 device. This feature allows the device to alter the color temperature of the screen depending on the degree of lighting in the surroundings. It is expected that three different display sizes will be available for the users, with a rumored 10.5-inch version.
iPad Mini 5
Together with the release of iPad Pro 2, there will be the release of iPad Mini 5 as well. It was rumored that the device will be updated along the lines of iPad Pro models. Reports from China indicate that the updated iPad models from Apple will be announced in March together with the second generation of Apple Pencil.
Users can expect a slimmer design with the iPad Mini 5 model. Moreover, it is rumored that Apple will use the 7000 series Aluminum to manufacture this tablet to make the tablets much durable, lightweight, and to avoid bending issues. The said technology is currently being used in Apple Watch.
Some of the interesting additions to the iPad Mini 5 device are the Smart Connector and the flexible display that will allow users to fold up the screen of the device and place it in their pockets when not in use.
